Since 2009, Internationella Engelska Skolan has been in partnership with the University of Cambridge International Examinations. IES students can choose to take extra examinations, IGCSEs (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) from Cambridge Assessment International Education.
The qualifications are prestigious and recognised by employers and universities worldwide. Cambridge programmes and qualifications set the global standard for international education. They are created by subject experts, rooted in academic rigour and reflect the latest educational research.
As well as English, Math and Science, other IGCSE exams offered to students at Internationella Engelska Skolan schools included Chemistry, Art, English Literature, Spanish and French. These exams are valued throughout the world and based on learning materials from Cambridge, which provide goals over and above the Swedish system.
