A basketball contest in Sundsvall saw teams from Internationella Engelska Skolan pick up a wealth of gold and silver medals.

Teams from years five and six both won gold, while the team from year four won silver during the SKOL IF Basketball contest.

Each of the contests saw the team from Internationella Engelska Skolan Sundsvall compete against nine or ten other teams from the town.

Teodor Karnell of 6a said: "The basketball DM was fun and we really worked as a group. We cooperated much better than we did at the football DM. I think it was a fun and good thing to do."

Alexandr Sjöström of 5b was also delighted with his gold medal in the contest. He said: "I enjoyed meeting students from other schools. The best thing was that we won over all the other year fives in Sundsvall. We played as a team and supported each other during the games. We all looked after and were kind to one another."

Silver medalist William Sjödahl of 4c said: "The final match was very hard because the other team was very tall and had good players."

His team-mate Simon Styrefors added "It was really fun to make the final."
