The school doctor works both with individual students and health promotion work in close collaboration with the school nurse.
The school doctor’s main tasks:
- Contributes with medical knowledge about physical and mental health as well as learning and development
- Receives students who need to be followed up after health visits and health talks or for other school-related reasons
- Prescribes, if necessary, supplementary vaccinations to those students who are not vaccinated according to the Swedish program for vaccinations
