IES Karlstad is celebrating

Welcome to Internationella Engelska Skolan Karlstad! In 2009 we opened our doors for the first time and now we are celebrating our 15th school year.

Our school is one of 46 other compulsory schools within the IES organization and simultaneously IES is celebrating 30 years of existence as a free school organization in Sweden. We are very excited to be part of IES which provides a high quality education where students are able to reach their highest potential in a safe, bilingual environment filled with respect and internationalism. 

 

It has been a terrific school start and the fact that we will be celebrating our 15th group of 9th graders on graduation day is something we are already looking forward to. During the last 14 years we have had more than 1 500 students graduating from IES Karlstad and with over 95% qualified into their high school programs. We pride ourselves on providing a high academic learning environment where all students are commanding both the Swedish and English languages when they leave us. Our students are always well prepared when they start their high school programs.

 

We also are very proud of the fact that our students are surrounded by caring adults and mentors who have monthly contact with the guardians in order to ensure the proper support necessary. For us, it is important to set both clear and high expectations in order for every child to be their personal best.

 

We want to thank all students and parents that have chosen IES Karlstad and we welcome the new students who have started with us this school year. We always have a lot of fun at our school, but this year we are planning a number of different activities during the school year to recognize our 15 year celebration.
