Introduction From Our New Assistant Principal

Dear staff, students and parents

My name is Mr van Staalduine, the new assistant principal of IES Huddinge. My role is
focused on pastoral care in the school. I will work closely together with the other assistant
principal, Ms Lejon, who will have the academic focus.

Originally I am from the Netherlands, but moved to Sweden 10 years ago. I worked as a
maths teacher and head of year at IES schools in Nacka, Skärholmen and in the gymnasium
in Södermalm. I am very excited to start as the assistant principal in Huddinge, using the
experience that I gained.

My goal for this year is to maintain a safe and calm environment in the school, working
together with the student care team, student health team and the heads of year. Also, I
would like to develop the house system, to increase the positive school culture.
I look forward to getting to know all the staff and students. It’s going to be a great year!
