Christmas market: academic display
At IES Liljeholmen, we are committed to fostering a sense of community and belonging among our students. One of the ways we achieve this is through the hosting of various events throughout the year, where students can showcase their creativity and talents to their peers, teachers, and parents.
One of our most beloved events is the Christmas market, which takes place at the end of the winter term. The Christmas market is an opportunity for students to showcase their artwork, which they have been working on throughout the term. The market allows parents and other visitors to roam around and admire the wide variety of art on display. From paintings to tie dye, and everything in between, there is something for everyone at the Christmas market.
In addition to the art displays, the Christmas market also features a bake sale. This is a great way for students to raise money for various initiatives, such as class day outside the school or prom. Parents and visitors can indulge in a wide array of tasty treats while supporting our students' fundraising efforts.
Another highlight of the Christmas market is the book sale. This gives students the opportunity to to pick up a new read at a bargain price, thanks to the collaboration between our school library and Witra Publishing Group.
To cap off the event, we also have a traditional Lucia performance. The Lucia performance is a beautiful and heartwarming event that showcases the music talent of our students. The performance is a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season and brings joy to everyone who attends.
We would like to extend a special thanks to our Aesthetics and Music department for creating such a wholesome event. At IES Liljeholmen, we believe that school is not just about classes and tests. It is also about creating a sense of community and providing our students with opportunities to showcase their talents and be proud of their work.
