At IES Årsta, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clubs where they can develop new skills, build friendships, and explore their interests. One of the most popular activities is the chess club, led by Mr. Norrgård, which provides students with a welcoming environment to learn the game, improve their strategies, and engage in friendly competition each week.
Most recently, on April 30th, our students proudly represented the school in an online chess tournament featuring schools from across Sweden. Competing in both the Year 4–6 and Year 7–9 divisions, our students secured many wins in the competition. Congrats to all who participated and competed!
