The queue to IES Skärholmen is closed for new registrations per 04/12/2023

Internationella Engelska Skolan Skärholmen will be closing its current premises after the conclusion of the spring term in 2024. Consequently, no new student intake will occur for the school years 2024-2025 and beyond. The reason for this decision is the unavailability of a permanent building permit for the school.

As a parent, you have the right to actively choose where your child learns, whether you apply to a municipal or a free school.

Popular schools, with more applications than available places, employ various methods to decide which children will be offered a place. Municipal schools typically prioritise those who live closest, while many free schools use a first-come, first-served system. IES follows this queue-based system.

Each IES school has its own queue, and you can enrol your child in the queue starting from 1 February the year after they are born.
