The Joy of LEGO Robotics:
For Patrick, the allure of building and programming robots with LEGO lies in having a meaningful project to work on, especially during weekends. Carl echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the freedom to choose and execute projects without rigid instructions. Hedda and Elsa appreciate the constant learning process, where mistakes are viewed as opportunities for improvement, fostering a resilient and problem-solving mindset.

The Cool Capabilities of Their Robot:
When asked about the cool features of their robot, Carl highlights the ability to make it say personalized phrases like "Hello, welcome!" Patrick adds that the true excitement lies in the versatility of programming, allowing the robot to perform a wide range of tasks.

Design and Programming Process:
The team shares insights into their design and programming approach. With ten distinct challenges, Carl explains the importance of avoiding collisions while programming the robot. Patrick emphasizes the significance of studying the scratch and brainstorming ideas. Hedda and Elsa stress the value of teamwork, practicing at home, and cooperative problem-solving to overcome challenges.

Memorable Moments:
In the midst of their robotics journey, the team recounts a humorous incident where they programmed the robot for eight laps instead of two, creating a light-hearted and memorable experience just minutes before a competition.

Project Duration:
Carl estimates that the entire project took around 6-7 weeks, a period filled with learning, challenges, and collaborative efforts.

The Thrill of Success:
Hedda and Elsa express the joy and satisfaction of successfully completing challenges, shouting "yes" in unison. The thrill of accomplishment serves as motivation for future endeavors.

Learning and Growth:
Reflecting on their experience, Carl emphasizes the unpredictability of programming and the need for precision. Patrick highlights the constant need for adjustments and the learning curve associated with programming.

Team Challenges:
The team faced a unique challenge when both the sensor and motherboard failed to connect, causing a delay of almost 40 minutes. Seeking guidance from the head judge, they navigated through this unexpected obstacle, showcasing resilience and problem-solving skills.

Encouragement for Future Robot Builders:
The team encourages other curious kids to embrace the world of LEGO robotics. Patrick recommends trying a project like this, emphasizing its intriguing nature. Carl believes that delving into programming enhances technological understanding, making it easier to work with technology. Hedda and Elsa stress the fun and challenging aspects of robotics, urging other kids to give it a try.
