At our school we have a big diversity of both students and staff. About half of our teachers come from other countries with most of them qualified in their respective countries in the subjects they teach. We focus on mathematics, English and science which are taught in English with the support of Swedish teaching material.

Our diversity is something that we are very proud of and we recognize it among other things through "Culture Day" and other theme days. Students and staff represent together over 30 different mother tongues at the school.

A very important part of our daily work is a common language that we use which is surrounded by the theme Respect. Words such as: prepared, punctual, positive, active and cooperative are crucial for our school. We use these words to guide and coach the students in all aspects of the life in school.

The school is located in Gruvlyckan which is near central Karlstad. We have students from all of the different cities who commute daily. There are good transportation possibilities both within Karlstad and also from surrounding cities.

We are known for an active and welcoming cooperation with our parents. We have a monthly contact with the parents through a mentor to control that things are working well in school. Additionally, we have an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA). You can learn more about the PTA on our website.
