Förskoleklass 2026/2027: The skolval period in Upplands Väsby kommun for children starting Förskoleklass (born 2020) runs from 19 January to 1 February 2026. Skolval applies only to families selecting a Förskoleklass placement for autumn 2026. For families who have received an offer from IES Upplands Väsby (F-klass 26/27) - If you live in Upplands Väsby kommun: ● You must select IES Upplands Väsby as your first choice during skolval for your placement offer to remain valid. ● If you do not select us as your first choice, the municipality may place your child at another school.
- Families in neighbouring municipalities: Skolval in neighbouring kommuner often runs during the same period. However, you do NOT need to choose us as your first choice in your local skolval. Instead, please: ● Contact your home municipality ● Contact IES Upplands Väsby ● Confirm that you wish to accept our placement offer This ensures your placement is correctly managed according to your municipality’s process. If you have not yet received an offer from IES ● Your queue position remains active automatically - no action is required. ● You do not need to place IES among your school choices in Skolval. Note: IES Upplands Väsby does not offer Year 6 through skolval. Therefore, no action is required in Skoval for our current Year 6 students. Need help?
