Dear parents, students and staff,

I am so thrilled to be back with Internationella Engelska Skolan. Now when moving back to Sweden after a few years abroad, IES was on my top wish list of schools to work for.

IES schools are organised with a clear and honest focus on student’s education, that allow all students the opportunity to perform above their own expectations. This focus is on par with successful international schools worldwide.

IES Täby is a great school, and I am impatiently looking forward to meeting all of you students, parents/guardians, teachers and staff to learn even more in detail about the school. I am proud to be the new Principal of IES Täby and I will do my very best to lead an organisation based on a collaborating and learning culture that focuses on student’s education. We all strive to perform a little bit better every day. We all want to learn from our mistakes and acknowledge what we have done well. How can you not be honored to be a vital part of IES Täby.

To quote the famous teacher Jaime Escalante “The students are doomed to the level of our expectations.” We have high academic expectations for all our individual students, their progression is vital for their learning confidence. To attain this we need a comprehensive approach where the student’s social life at school and their well-being is essential. We who work and know our students always seek an excellent and professional relationship with them. We truly care for them and their progression as learning individuals, and we will full heartedly support their development over time. To see our students grow into reflective, confident and responsible learning individuals who care is our prize and well worth fighting for.

See you all soon in November.
