First Finished Mirror Frame Offers a Glimpse of Student Creativity
The corridors at IES Solna are becoming even more vibrant as a new student art project takes shape. With the first of six mirror frames now complete, we are excited to share a "tease" of the creativity that will soon fill our school.
We recently installed six mirrors in our corridors to enhance the school environment. To ensure these additions reflect our unique school culture, we decided to manufacture our own frames and invited students to take the lead on decorating them.
The first mirror is now finished, serving as a brilliant example of the talent and "grit" our students possess. This is just the start of the initiative; five more frames are currently being prepared for their own artistic transformations.
This project is a key part of the IES model, focusing on creating a safe, calm, and stimulating environment. By allowing students to leave their mark on the school, we foster a sense of belonging and pride in their surroundings.
Keep an eye out for these upcoming additions:
-
A Growing Gallery: Five more mirrors will be decorated by different student groups over the coming weeks.
-
Student Art in Focus: Each frame will represent a unique style, turning our corridors into a rotating exhibition of local talent.
-
Creative Environment: These mirrors help create a bright, welcoming, and personalised space for everyone at IES Solna.
We look forward to seeing the corridors fully transformed as the remaining frames are completed.
We would like to give a special thanks to Ms Coss for the extra work she puts into these projects. Her dedication ensures our students have the support they need to bring their creative visions to life.
