IES Solna Becomes Official VFU Teacher Training School

IES Solna is now an official VFU teacher training school, partnering with universities to mentor student teachers and further enhance the high quality of our teaching.

Sharing and developing excellent teaching practices is a core part of our culture. We are pleased to announce that IES Solna has officially become a training school for university student teachers (VFU övningsskola).

The initiative began in 2024 when Mr Jiang became a qualified teaching-practicum supervisor. Since then, the programme has grown significantly. During the 2025/2026 school year, 12 of our staff members participated in training and seminars hosted by Mid Sweden University (Mittuniversitetet) to prepare for this role.

Becoming a training school is a fantastic recognition of the high-quality teaching happening every day at our school. This partnership provides several benefits:

We currently welcome four student teachers across five different subjects. This commitment to continuous learning helps make IES Solna an even better environment for both students and staff.
