Welcome Back!

I hope all of you had a wonderful relaxing and healthy summer and you are ready for a new and exciting year at IES Södertälje!

This year we open lågstadiet and are now officially an F-9 school. Almost at full capacity with 788 students. So you can expect the delivery of our ethos, a calm and safe learning environment, high academic expectations and a truly bilingual experience - with a focus on literacy running as red thread through our pedagogy, for students aged 6 through to 15.

To continue delivering and improving quality, our leadership team has expanded. I would like to welcome Ms. Brown, new Assistant Principal for Grade 6 - 9. Ms. Brown brings a wealth of experience both from international schools around the world and IES Sundbyberg. In addition, I would like to congratulate Ms. Emterby, proven IES leader as Head of Primary school with responsibility in grades F-3. 

Due to our expansion, I am excited to welcome 27 new staff (teachers and fritids) to deliver our ethos in F-3, and minimal staff turnover elsewhere in our school. Our staff represent 15 different nationalities to bring an authentic international experience. Around one third of our staff is from Södertälje, which brings a sense of community.

I'm proud to say our students, parents and staff vote with their feet and give us a strong foundation to build upon this year. I am very much looking forward to seeing you all very soon!
