"You build trust, and trust is everything"
We are proud and grateful for the incredible life journey of our principal: from growing up in a British industrial town with no hope for the future - to studying sociology, history, philosophy, and psychology at university, eventually becoming a leading figure for IES. He has not forgotten his background and uses his experiences to his advantage.
"It's fantastic to be in a position where you can do the exact opposite. An antithesis, one might say. I love working with troubled children who feel hopeless. I truly believe, and I've worked in schools for 30 years and taught many children, that if you see them and say 'That was super well done!', then you've got them hooked. Then they'll come back. You build trust, and trust is everything," says Peter John Fyles.
