What did you do before you started at IES Norrtälje?
I worked at the Grind preschool in Norrtälje for 7 years.

What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing is that every child is different and unique, and to help them find their strengths and become confident and strong individuals.

What are you most looking forward to when the school has opened?
I'm very excited to be working in a bilingual learning institution and getting to know the children and create a fritids where learning and having fun go hand in hand.

Which one is your favourite song right now?
No particular favourite song right now. I mostly listen to the radio, P3.

Do you have any pets?
We only have a cat. But I check for rescue dogs from "Hundstallet" weekly as we plan in the near future to adopt a dog from there.

Tell something about yourself not many people know.
I speak Flemish as I have lived in Belgium for five years.

What was your favourite subject in school?
P.E was my favourite subject/activity in school. Later it became literature.

Do you have any dreams for the future?
I dream of writing a book.

What do you do outside of work?
In my free time I like to read, spend time with my family, travel, go on walks, i love the outdoors and to play soccer with my son. I also like thrift stores.

What do you do to peak the children's interest and desire to learn new things?
To find children's interest and joy in learning new things I "interview" them with open questions. A trip to the library to find books that interest them or on a particular subject. I encourage reading!

What is your favourite memory with your students?
My most memorable moment was when all of my 25 students received 100% on their spelling test. I worked as an after-school teacher for 1st graders who needed extra help with reading and writing. After this 100% correct writing score, the students all wanted to go out and play soccer and then have ice cream. It was a great day!
