INTERNATIONELLA ENGELSKA SKOLAN
Our Commitment to Fundamental Values (Grundläggande värden)
At our school, the Grundläggande värden—democracy, human rights, equality, and respect for each individual—are not just words in a document. They are the foundation of everything we do, guiding our teaching, our relationships, and the way we shape our school environment.
IESN Times is a creative space where students develop skills in journalism, graphic design, interviewing, editing, leadership, and writing, while sharing their voices with the school community. The club meets every Wednesday and offers hands-on experience in producing a real publication.
Through a partnership with the local non-profit UngMedia, our members also have the opportunity to attend workshops, annual board meetings, and connect with other young journalists across Sweden.
This is an after-school club where students (and teachers) play games that promote social interaction, communication, and critical thinking skills. Both the students and the teachers have enjoyed that much-needed socialization time outside of the normal classroom environment.
Project Connect is a student-led club which provides a safe, supportive environment for EVERYONE. The goal of the club is to bring together people who want to help promote a welcoming environment for all students regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Peer Connectors are students in the upper year levels (Years 7-9) who help support and mentor students primarily in Years 4 & 5. Contact Mr. Cornelius Högkvist, school counsellor, if you would like to volunteer to be a Peer Connector!
Every month, a special workshop is held after school where students have the opportunity to learn about craft techniques that are not usually included in the curriculum. The workshops are usually divided into grades 4-5 and grades 6-9, which allows students to meet new people in other grades who share similar creative interests! Below you will find a list of past workshops!
Join the Community Care Club and help spread positivity throughout Floor 11! This club is all about making a difference through small acts of kindness. We will organize fun events like the door decoration contest for the Year 4 and Year 5 classes, decorate the chalkboard walls with inspiring messages, write thank you letters to our wonderful IESN staff, and much more! If you want to make people smile and brighten up our floor, come join us!
We meet on Tuesdays from 14:30 to 15:00 in Room 5C.
