The founder of Internationella Engelska Skolan, Ms Barbara Bergström, has emphasised the importance of nutrition in an educational environment for many years.  

Our philosophy on school lunch is that students should be provided with healthy meals produced from fresh, high-quality ingredients which are eaten in a relaxed atmosphere, providing our students with energy for the rest of the day.

To complement the daily dish the students may choose from a variety of salads and vegetables at our large salad bar – we want to make sure that all students get the nutrition and energy needed to perform their best throughout the entire day.

We always serve a vegetarian alternative for students with different dietary needs.

Our lunch is also a pedagogical lunch. This means that teachers are always present and eat lunch in the dining hall as well to make sure that the environment is calm and relaxing. This also enhances the student-teacher confidence.
