The Heart of Our School: How the Reception Team Supports Our Community

From holding onto a forgotten bag to helping a student call home, our school reception is a bustling hub of support. Here is a look at how our reception team works every day to keep our school community both welcoming and secure.

Every morning, our school comes alive. It is wonderful to see so many guardians in the building, whether you are helping your children settle into the cloakroom or checking them into Fritids. These busy, energetic moments are a fantastic start to the day.

Once lessons begin, the atmosphere shifts into a focused, calm learning environment. To protect this valuable study time and ensure the safety of everyone inside, our building becomes a secure space. This means that anyone entering the school during the day must visit the reception desk to sign in and collect a visitor badge. It is a simple routine, but it plays a vital role in keeping our environment secure.

For our students, the reception desk is a safe space to find help throughout the day. If a child has forgotten something at home, guardians are always welcome to drop it off at reception, and we will make sure it finds its way to them. It is also the place students can go if they feel unwell or need to make a phone call home.

By working together on these daily routines, we can maintain a school that is both deeply supportive and safe for every student.
