Students and staff at IES Landskrona took part in the nationwide project Dansa För Livet to support youth mental health awareness. Originally founded in 2021 at Polhemskolan in Lund, the initiative was created in response to students seeking creative ways to address mental health and foster an open, supportive dialogue in school.
The theme for this year, "Levels of Joy," encourages students to reflect on the different forms joy can take. The initiative highlights that joy ranges from immediate moments of celebration to long-term feelings of security, community, and purpose. By exploring how daily habits, physical activity, and strong relationships affect physical and mental well-being, students learn valuable tools for navigating life's ups and downs.
At IES Landskrona, creating a safe, calm, and supportive environment is central to our mission. As research demonstrates that health and learning go hand in hand, participating in initiatives like Dansa För Livet reinforces our commitment to pastoral care and student well-being. By taking a shared responsibility for mental health education, we aim to help every student thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
