Curious how young minds are solving real-world challenges — and winning awards while doing it?
Take a look inside the latest STEM Entrepreneurship journey, guided by the passion and vision of Ms. Hetal Bhinday, Head of the Math Department at IES Kista.
Every year, Ms. Bhinday and her team bring cross-curricular learning to life — empowering students to apply math to real-world problems through hands-on projects like Ung Företagsamhet – Vattenfall – Grundskoleutmaningen 2025.
This year, over 1,200 students from across Stockholm participated — and IES Kista’s Year 5 students went the extra mile, winning the “Best Class – Bubble Prize” at the regional finals at Vattenfall!

Ms. Hetal Bhinday expressed her pride in the students' achievements, saying, "The math learning journey at IES Kista is like Pi — infinite, ever-evolving, and filled with limitless possibilities. As Seth Godin wisely said, 'School should teach you two essential things: how to solve interesting problems and how to become a leader.' These principles are at the heart of what we aim to cultivate in our students — the ability to think critically and lead with confidence. Furthermore, It’s rewarding to see that the media has also highlighted this journey. In particular, Rita de Castro, the Regionchef of Ung Företagsamhet, has emphasized the impact of this project, further recognizing the incredible work of our students and their influence on the community."

But it didn’t stop there!
Our Year 7 & 8 “potential students” group took center stage at the SETT Conference, where Ms. Bhinday was also a featured panelist, showcasing how student-led innovation is shaping the future of education through their project.
