IES Kista Launches Weekly Cricket Club in Collaboration with Anchor Sports

What began as a student request is now becoming a reality. Starting 21 April, Internationella Engelska Skolan Kista will host a weekly Cricket Club every Tuesday in the Upper Big Gym, offering students a chance to develop new skills and teamwork.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Kista is pleased to announce the launch of our new Cricket Club. This initiative was born from student curiosity and a simple question: “Can we try cricket?”

To ensure our students receive high-quality instruction, we have partnered with Anchor Sports. Their experienced coaching team will guide students through the fundamentals of the game, focusing on rhythm, teamwork, and the physical benefits of the sport. At IES Kista, we work equally hard inside and outside the classroom to provide a diverse school culture, and this club is a natural extension of that commitment to student-led initiatives.

The sessions are designed for students to learn and grow from their very first moment on the pitch. Whether they are new to the sport or have previous experience, all participating students will find a supportive and structured environment focused on fitness and fun.

Club Details and Registration:

Start Date: Tuesday 21 April (Week 17)
Schedule: Every Tuesday, 15:30 – 16:45
Location: Upper Big Gym / Sports Hall
Duration: 8 sessions this term
Fee: 400 SEK for the full term (50 SEK per session)

Session Focus: The coaching programme covers basic cricket skills, including batting, bowling, and fielding drills. Each session concludes with team games and match practice to put these new techniques into action.
