Welcome to Open House at Internationella Engelska Skolan Karlstad

This is a drop-in event open to all prospective and interested families – no prior registration is required.

Dear parents and guardians,

We are pleased to invite you and your family to an Open House at Internationella Engelska Skolan Karlstad on Monday, September 14, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

In addition to the opportunity to see our premises and classrooms, you will have the chance to meet our school management to talk about the school's vision and admissions, as well as meet our senior teachers to learn more about the pedagogical initiatives that characterize our teaching:

• School Leadership: Meet the school leadership to discuss our overall profile, student health/well-being, admissions, and our work toward high academic goals and security.

• Mr. Arvidsson – Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Learn more about how we make teaching accessible to support different learning styles and give every student the right conditions to succeed.

• Ms. Wennergrund & Ms. Lyberg – Classroom Leadership & Study Environment: Discover our preventive strategies for creating calm, structured, and respectful classroom environments.

• Ms. Mascaro – Erasmus+: Hear about our international collaborations with Cambridge University in grade 9, exchange opportunities and European school partnerships in grades 5–9, as well as school trips to France and Spain taking place in grade 8.

• Mr. Rivest – Didactics & WalkThrus: Learn about our research-based teaching methods inspired by Tom Sherrington's didactic framework.

• Ms. Skellet – MIL & Social Media: Gain insight into how we support students in Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and the responsible use of digital media.
