Junior Club

Junior Club is an extension of the normal school day and is open in connection with the 178 days of school.

At IES Karlstad, we are excited to offer students in Years 4 and 5 the opportunity to join our Junior Club, a vibrant and engaging after-school program designed to enrich your child’s day in a fun, social, and productive environment.

Junior Club is a space where students can relax, socialize, and participate in a wide range of exciting activities after the school day ends. Our aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can bond with peers from different classes while exploring new interests and developing important social skills.

Our mission at Junior Club is to encourage students to engage in meaningful activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and personal development. The program is designed to offer students a balance of structured and unstructured time where they can play, create, and grow both individually and as part of a community.

Junior Club operates every morning from 7:30-8:00 until school starts, and reopens in the afternoon until 17:00, providing flexible options for working parents and families. Our dedicated staff ensures that students are not only well-supervised but also actively engaged in enjoyable and enriching activities.

Junior Club offers a diverse selection of activities, tailored to meet the interests and energy levels of our students:

  • Sports Tournaments and Gym Games: Physical activity is key to healthy development, and our sports tournaments and gym games offer a fun way for students to stay active and learn teamwork.
  • Arts and Crafts: Creativity knows no bounds! Students can explore their artistic side through a variety of craft projects.
  • Music and Dance: Expressing themselves through music and movement, students can enjoy fun, energetic sessions to unwind and connect with their peers.
  • Baking: Fun and delicious! Our baking activities teach students basic culinary skills while allowing them to create tasty treats.
  • Board Games: Strategy, problem-solving, and friendly competition come to life during our board game sessions.
  • Weekly Themed Activities: To keep things fresh and exciting, we introduce new themes and activities each week, ensuring there is always something new to look forward to.

At Junior Club, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals. Our vision is to offer students a blend of recreational and educational experiences that promote both personal growth and social interaction. Whether your child is looking to make new friends, discover new hobbies, or simply unwind after the school day, Junior Club is a place where everyone can find something they love.

We look forward to welcoming your child to Junior Club, where every day is a new adventure!
