There are no fees to attend IES schools. Our schools are funded in the same way as those run by the municipality, through the Swedish tax system and the school voucher (skolpeng).

Children who have been offered a place in the coming academic year are invited to an Intro day - this enables them to try learning with IES for a few hours. Teachers will create some tasks for them to complete on the day both in English and Swedish. The visiting students will also be shown around the school and meet some of their future teachers. 

There are two opportunities to get to see our school: An Info Evening in the autumn, and an Intro Day in the Spring. Visiting our school is possible for those who have been invited to those events.

During the Info Evening, students in the older years take the visitors around the school.

Introduction Day is also a wonderful opportunity for our new students to see how we teach in two languages, to see the building and to meet future classmates and teachers.  

As part of our main intake process we hold an Introduction day, which can give a taste of what it is like to study at IES Järfälla. To avoid disruption to our students, we do not offer potential students the chance to join a school on a trial basis.

For students wanting to join the school in year 7 or 8, we do offer a short tour of the school. This will be organized at a time that works for both the family and the school.
