The founder of Internationella Engelska Skolan, Ms Barbara Bergström, has emphasised the importance of nutrition in an educational environment for many years.  

Our food is catered by Klien's Kitchen, a company that over the years have proven to provide quality meals for several IES schools in Stockholm. Every day there are at least two options and also a vegetarian dish. You can read more about Klein's Kitchen here.

We have no problem catering for allergies.  If a special diet is required for medical reasons (ie food allergy or other illness), the special diet and a certificate from a doctor or dietician should be submitted to the school nurse. Guardians are responsible for ensuring that the school always has up-to-date information about the need for any special diet.

Our lunch is a pedagogical lunch. This means that teachers are always present and eat lunch in the dining hall as well to make sure that the environment is calm, this also enhances the student-teacher confidence.

School lunch is of course served free of charge.
