The aim of the IES Hässleholm library is to provide access to literature and media and information knowledge, with advice always on hand to those who wish it.  This is done through both formal instruction and less formal drop in time.  The library is a calm haven for students who wish to read or study with a good mix of comfortable seating and table space.

The library is found on the ground floor of the main building annexe and houses a large collection of books in both Swedish and English. It also has a small collection of mother tongue books and a decent non-fiction section.  From graphic novels and lighter reads to more robust fantasy and dystopian novels, there is something for everyone. As well as the book collection, the library has 10 computers available for students to use to complete school related tasks.

Mrs Price, the librarian, can be found in the library between 7.30 and 15.30 Monday - Thursday and 7.30 - 14.00 on Fridays.  On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the library is often booked for classes during school hours, but on Wednesdays and Fridays students can drop in at any time.

There is also a study skills programme based in the library.  It is run in conjunction with Ms Zander, the careers counsellor, and takes the form of both formal courses and drop in access on a Tuesday from 15.30 - 16.30.  Information about the study skills programme can be found on the library noticeboard and students are welcome to either enrol in a course through their mentors or use the drop in as required.
