The Activity Hut

This year we are focusing on creating an improved environment outside at break times. We at IES consider physical activity between lessons as very important. Studies have proven such activity leads to a more positive feeling and increased motivation. We have therefore created an Activity Hut where there is a large selection of equipment at the students' disposal.

There is a loan system where the students take responsibility and this will hopefully help them to look after the equipment. The students will get opportunities to be on duty in the Activity Hut and to have responsibility for lending out equipment to other students.

There is daily activities at every lunch break that Ms. Abrahamsson is responsible for. It encourages active play, and for the children to join in and feel a sense of belonging.
