The management team of Internationella Engelska Skolan is responsible for ensuring that all parts of the organisation function at the highest level, within their area of expertise.
Chief Executive Officer
Ms Annette Brodin Rampe
Ms Brodin Rampe joined Internationella Engelska Skolan in March 2018 and has overall responsibility for all branches of the organisation. She comes from a background as Managing Partner Europe within Brunswick Group LLP where she was global advisor on strategic communication, crisis communication, change processes and public affairs. She is CEO and chairman of Global Child Forum, a board member for the Swedish-British Chamber of Commerce and has worked at multinational organisations within the energy industry.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr Fredrik Åkerman
Mr Åkerman, with his experience and demonstrated capabilities is well-equipped to lead the development of IES Finance Department and work to develop the company. He is responsible for the financial strategy of the company and its long-term financial stability. As well as assisting schools with their budgets and negotiating contracts he makes sure the company’s audits run smoothly and has responsibility for finances throughout Internationella Engelska Skolan. He has a solid and extensive experience as a CFO with 9 years in that role for Bisnode where he also served as interim CEO. He has previously also worked as CEO for BTJ Infodata and before that as Managing Director for Dagens Nyheter.
Vice Chief Executive Officer
Mr Jörgen Stenquist
As a former major in the Swedish marines, Mr Stenquist has seen service in countries across the globe. More recently he was Principal of Internationella Engelska Skolan Täby before becoming the organisation’s Vice CEO in 2009. He assists the CEO with the operation of the organisation including strategic planning, daily operations, expansion and security on a strategic level.
Chief Operating Officer
Ms Robin Kirk Johansson
Ms Kirk Johansson is one of two chief operating officers. They are each responsible for operations in half of the schools in Sweden and is the primary points of contact at head office for the principals. Ms Kirk Johansson opened IES Borås in 2010 and was the school's principal until she was appointed as a COO in 2017. She is also an educated teacher from the USA.

Mr Jan Dahlin
Mr Dahlin is one of two chief operating officers. They are each responsible for operations in half of the schools in Sweden and is the primary points of contact at head office for the principals. Mr Dahlin opened IES Karlstad in 2009 and was the school's principal until he was appointed as a COO in 2017. He has also worked as a hotel director for Elite Hotels, a branch manager for SEB and a business area manager for American Express.
Head of Communication
Ms Emma Rheborg
Since joining IES in 2018 Ms Rheborg has been responsible for IES’s internal and external communication, brand and investor relations. She also works with the organisation’s strategy.
Her background includes roles such as head of communication for Nordea Sweden and head of Nordea Group's external communication as well as head of communication at Ratos and a communication consultant at JKL.
Head of Academics
Mr Damian Brunker
Mr Brunker, who has worked within education since 2000 and with Internationella Engelska Skolan since 2006, leads the academic representatives group and the head office educational team. He is responsible for the organisation’s academic quality and standards. He also oversees a number of company-wide academic initiatives and projects. Ms Eva Andersson
School lawyer Eva Andersson joined Internationella Engelska Skolan in 2013. Her role includes providing legal support to Principals and head office as well as handling investigations and decisions under Sweden’s educational laws, alongside the Head of Academics, as Ombudsman for the organisation. She was previously a Director of Education for the Swedish Schools Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen) and has also worked as a teacher, and as secretary of a government commission into state-provided adult education.
Human Resources Manager
Ms Melanie Prinsloo
Ms Prinsloo supports the principals with staffing and recruitment issues and drives the organisation's HR strategy. She also handles traditional HR issues such as union negotiations and talent management. She has been an HR professional since 1984 and has worked for the past ten years in Sweden before which she worked in Germany and her native South Africa. Before joining IES in 2014 she spent much of her HR career in corporate environments including in various branches of Siemens.
Chief Information Officer
Mr Scott Melnyk
Mr Melnyk comes from a business management background with academic degrees in both in Civil Engineering and Psychology. Mr Melnyk has worked within education, IT, and management for the past 20 years and enjoys following developments in governance, security and pedagogic systems. He is responsible for IT strategy and implementation, including negotiations, security design, IT auditing, and training.
