Mobile Free

Our mobile-free learning environment. At IES Uppsala all classes hand in their phones in their first lesson of the day. This routine was introduced in 2019 and gives students a break from social media and gaming platforms when in school.

We have also opted not to give a computer to every student. Instead we make the computers available to teachers so that they fully control when and for what computers are used.

This creates an environment where students socialize in a more traditional way and helps balance the time spent in a digital environment.
