Up to half of our teaching is in English, combining high academic expectations with dedicated pastoral care for years 4–9.
As the principal of IES Tyresö, I am thrilled to welcome our returning students and greet incoming years 4–9 families to our school.
Internationella Engelska Skolan Tyresö offers a bilingual education where English is a natural part of daily school life alongside Swedish. By conducting up to half of our teaching in English, we equip students with a strong command of both languages, preparing them to excel in higher education and a globalized working world.
Central to our approach is the IES model, which recognizes that high-quality teaching requires a safe, calm, and structured environment. We place equal weight on classroom learning and pastoral care. Support staff work alongside teachers to ensure every child feels safe, respected, and supported under our guiding motto: "every student is everyone's student".
