Christmas letter December 2025
As we are now off on Christmas break, I would like to take a moment to reflect on all that we have shared together during these busy and rewarding months in Autumn 2025.
This term has been filled with learning, creativity, and community. Our students have taken part in a wide range of enriching activities, including our much-loved Halloween disco (complete with a ghost tunnel and popcorn machine!), ice skating sessions, swimming lessons, and exciting sports tournaments. We also ended the term with a House Day with various team-building activities that strengthened collaboration and school spirit across year groups.
Learning beyond the classroom has been a strong focus this term. Students visited Tekniska muséet, mosque, Moderna Museet, Riksdagshuset and observed political debates, explored the legal system through a visit to Attunda Tingsrätt and more. Our Year 9 students completed their PRAO placements, gaining valuable insight into working life, while others worked diligently with their oral national tests. We are also proud of how we continue to integrate technology into learning, including the use of our 3D printer with pedagogical tools.
Community and togetherness have been at the heart of the term. We have celebrated World Mental Health Day with several activities by Student Care Team. We also highlighted the World Suicide Prevention Day by dancing together at the backyard (look at our Socials from September 10th). Our Open House and Christmas Fair were wonderful opportunities to welcome families into our school. Students shared their food wishes – pancakes, hamburgers, and tacos were clear favourites – and we also enjoyed a Thanksgiving dessert of apple pie with vanilla sauce. Our Lucia celebration was especially memorable, with a beautiful procession outdoors followed by a performance in the auditorium.
This year, our school partnered with Giving People to sponsor eight families with children in the Sundbyberg community. In addition, our Year 7 students created Christmas cards and sent candy canes to the local church for their annual Christmas lunch. Through these gestures, we teach our students that Christmas is about giving and thinking of others. Your generosity was deeply appreciated and helped ensure a brighter holiday for these families – thank you.
None of this would be possible without our fantastic staff and students. I am incredibly proud of the dedication, warmth, professionalism, and care shown every day. Together, you create a school environment where students feel safe, inspired, and encouraged to grow.
Christmas is a time to slow down, reflect, and care for each other. I hope the holidays give you time to rest, laugh, and spend time with the people who matter most to you. If not, there are many available to support - both from school and from the outside, like Fältarbetarna or BRIS.
Thank you for your hard work this term. I look forward to welcoming you back in the new year, refreshed and ready for new opportunities. Below you see a photo on my two hardworking supporters, Mrs Backman and Mr Hull, that also wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Johanna Bohlin
Principal
