Half of the term has already passed, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your great cooperation so far. It was truly a pleasure meeting you and your families during the student-parent–teacher conferences last week. The conversations were valuable and showed the strong engagement you have in your children’s education – something we truly appreciate.
Our students have done a fantastic job reducing food waste in the cafeteria, and as a reward they got “saft” with lunch one day – well deserved! We have also purchased a popcorn machine for the school, which was put to good use during the Halloween disco. It was a wonderful evening with lots of students joining in, dancing, and having scary fun.
During breaks, there has also been plenty of activity with dancing and other fun options that many students have taken part in. At our Autumn Fair, several students showed great initiative and teamwork by selling baked goods – we’re excited to see how they choose to spend the profits at the end of the school year.
October 10th, we celebrated the World Mental Health Day by dressing up in green, creating accessories and spent time with the Student Care Team. A very important day to highlight as a school.
During October, we have had a theme "Booktober" where we focused even more on reading activities which resulted in more visits to the Library and students got to win some nice prizes.
Our Year 9 students have recently completed their work experience week (PRAO), gaining valuable insights into working life. Next up for them is the Gymnasiemässan and soon the oral national tests.
I wish you all a wonderful and well-deserved autumn break! Enjoy the time off, and I look forward to seeing everyone back in a week, ready for the rest of our exciting term together where it will be a surprise for the Thanksgiving Day.
