How IES Staffanstorp Students Built Bridges Through Chess

This year, IES Staffanstorp had the privilege of participating in a wonderful event(NMF) that uses chess as a powerful platform to bridge gaps and bring together people from diverse backgrounds. Guided by the core value of playing against segregation, our staff and management proudly helped organize the event and gave our students the unique opportunity to play alongside entrepreneurs, leaders, and peers from across Malmö.

Events like this demonstrate that chess is more than just a game, it is a universal language that breaks down barriers, fosters inclusion, and builds strong community bonds regardless of where you come from.

Through dedication, focus, and an incredible drive to succeed, our students truly excelled, proving that hard work and determination pay off. Demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and strategic skill, IES Staffanstorp swept the top spots on the leaderboard, taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

We are immensely proud of our students for representing our school so brilliantly, both through their top-tier performance on the board and their commitment to unity and inclusion off the board.
