IES Solna has been registered as a Cambridge international school since 2023 We currently offer Maths, Spanish, and English (as a second language) as part of our IGCSE programme.
Students at IES achieve excellent results in the world's most popular international exam. The results show that IES students score higher in English as a second language compared to students at other Cambridge schools worldwide.
IES offers the Cambridge IGCSE, the world's most popular exam for students aged 14-16 years. Cambridge International Education, owned by the University of Cambridge, works with over 10,000 schools worldwide, offering an international curriculum from the early years to high school. Thirty-seven of these schools are part of Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES). IES Solna is also part of this, thanks to the persistent work of the Cambridge and English teacher.
Recently, the results from the latest exam series have been published. Nearly 300,000 students from about 4,600 schools in 140 countries took the Cambridge IGCSE exams in June 2024.
The results show that IES students achieve higher grades in English as a second language compared to students at other Cambridge schools worldwide.
14.4% of IES students received the highest possible grade, A*, compared to 10.6% of all participating students worldwide. 90.4% of IES students received a grade of C or higher, compared to 67.3% of all participating students worldwide.
