Reflecting on a Joyful December at IES Österåker
December was a whirlwind of activity at IES Österåker, filled with festive cheer and schoolwide camaraderie. It’s always a delight to look back at the moments that brought so much joy to our students, staff, and families.
Throughout the month, our school embraced the holiday spirit with a variety of challenges, dress-up days, and engaging activities that had everyone buzzing with excitement. The enthusiasm of our staff and students created an atmosphere of warmth and joy that could be felt in every corner of the school.
One highlight of the season was the stunning Christmas tree that graced our entryway. Adorned with festive decorations, it welcomed students each morning and set the tone for a cheerful day ahead.
The traditional Lucia celebrations brought a magical touch to December. Our talented students performed beautifully, with the younger years enchanting an audience of proud parents and the older students showcasing their performances for their classmates. It was a heartwarming event that celebrated light, music, and community.
Creativity was also on full display as students decorated gingerbread houses. The results were not only visually stunning but also delicious! Seeing their creativity and teamwork in action was truly inspiring.
Adding to the festive fun, the leadership team greeted students one morning with gingerbread cookies as they arrived at school. This simple yet thoughtful gesture brought smiles to everyone’s faces and started the day on a sweet note.
As we look ahead to the new year, we’re reminded of the strong sense of community and shared experiences that make IES Österåker such a special place. Thank you to all who contributed to making December so memorable. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the school year has in store!
