A warm welcome back to all of our returning families and a special welcome to those joining IES Österåker for the first time. As we open our doors for the new school year, we are filled with enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
Our ambition for this academic year is simple yet profound: to build a safe, structured, and inspiring school environment where every single student is truly seen, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.
At IES Österåker, learning starts with a calm and secure environment. We believe that high academic quality goes hand in hand with dedicated pastoral care. Through our commitment to the IES model, we work equally hard with what happens inside the classroom as what happens after class, ensuring our staff have a holistic approach to child/student development under the philosophy, "every student is everyone's student".
Here is how we will empower our students this year:

Bilingual Education: Up to half of our teaching is conducted in English from the middle school, equipping students with a strong command of both Swedish and English to prepare them for a global future.

Building Grit: We encourage a strong fighting spirit and perseverance, helping students find motivation, embrace challenges, and take pride in their individual learning process.
