Who is Therese Heidling?

It's time to get to know all the teachers and staff at IES Norrtälje! Next up is Therese Heidling, a teacher in grades 5 and 6.

What did you do before you started at IES Norrtälje?
I have worked as a teacher in Täby.

What’s the best thing about your job?
One of the best things you get to experience with this job is seeing students succeed and develop in their studies.

What are you most looking forward to in the autumn?
I look forward to meeting all the students and teaching my subjects.

Which one is your favourite song right now?
“Misstag” by Miss Li.

Do you have any pets?
No.

Tell something about yourself not many people know.
I’ve been an extra in films and commercials.

What was your favourite subject in school?
History.

Do you have any dreams for the future?
Lots, but one of my dreams is to see the Seven Wonders of the World.

What do you do outside of work?
Gardening, travelling and spending time with my family, of course.

What do you do to peak the children's interest and desire to learn new things?
By making connections and drawing parallels to what the students are interested in.

What is your favourite memory with your students?
There are countless great memories with students. One of my memories is when one of my classes won a snow sculpture competition. They were so happy, and the prize went towards a class trip.
