What’s the best thing about your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is igniting a thirst for knowledge in my students. I strive to cultivate a genuine enthusiasm for learning and create an environment where students are eager to come to school.
What are you most looking forward to when the school has opened?
To ignite a passion for learning and instill a curiosity that drives students to seek out knowledge on their own. I want to create an environment where questions are encouraged, and each discovery opens up new avenues of exploration.
Which one is your favourite song right now?
Impossible to choose, but David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Doors are all competing for the top spot.
Do you have any pets?
Cats and… do bee hives count? I’m totally obsessed with my hives.
Tell something about yourself not many people know.
I am obsessed with gardening and I idolise Monty Don.
What was your favourite subject in school?
Absolutely loved all science!
Do you have any dreams for the future?
To travel more, there are so many new things to explore.
What do you do outside of work?
Gardening and time with my family.
What do you do to peak the children's interest and desire to learn new things?
Demonstrating dedication and enthusiasm for your subject often resonates with students, inspiring their own engagement.
What is your favourite memory with your students?
Selecting just one favourite memory is a challenge because witnessing a child's development is a consistently remarkable experience. Observing the growth and progress of a child is always awe-inspiring.
