On Friday April 14th, IES Norrtälje hosted The 4 Lions Challenge, a student-teacher football event featuring the teachers’ football team, known as The 4 Lions.

The challenge saw the Lions take on student teams in a series of short football matches over the course of one hour. Last year, the Lions played an impressive 23 matches in one hour and finished the event undefeated.

This year, the teachers once again put in a strong performance. In total, they played 18 matches in one hour, winning 17 matches and losing only one. Considering the average age of the teacher team is over 30 — and possibly much higher depending on whose statistics are included — it was a very respectable result.

More importantly, the event was a great chance for students and staff to come together outside the classroom, enjoy some healthy competition, and share a fun moment as a school community.

A big well done to all students who took part, and congratulations to The Lions on another strong performance.
