Run For Caps!

On Friday 16 October, staff at IES Norrtälje swapped their classrooms for a sponsored relay to raise money for Year 9 graduation caps, bringing school spirit to the running route.

One hour, a 1.5 km route and a shared goal: helping make graduation special for our Year 9 students. That was the challenge for IES Norrtälje staff as they took on a sponsored relay around the schoolyard.

Starting at 15:00, colleagues took turns running, aiming to cover as much distance as possible within the hour. The fundraiser gave staff a chance to support students beyond the classroom and work together towards a memorable end to their time at IES Norrtälje.

Families and students were invited to cheer on the runners, enjoy coffee and cookies, and take part in a guessing competition to predict the total distance covered. Donations were directed to the PTA Graduation Fund to help fund the students’ graduation caps.

Thank you to everyone who supported the initiative, whether by running, cheering or contributing. Every contribution helps us celebrate our Year 9 students as they prepare for their next chapter.
