Play Auditions at I.E.S.N.
Excitement Builds as Students Audition for School Play
The Second Audition of "The Trial"
The school is buzzing with excitement as students from various year levels step into the spotlight to audition for this year’s much-anticipated school play. With a higher-than-expected turnout, the audition process has been both lively and inspiring.
“The auditions have been going excellent,” said director Mr. Mysirlakis. “Some students were so excited to get the whole process started, it made me so happy.” He also hinted at the possibility of expanding the script to accommodate the enthusiasm. “If we have more students than expected… we are willing to bend the script a little bit… maybe add choreographies… dancers and soldiers… different roles they can apply for.”
From nervous first-timers to returning performers, students expressed a mix of emotions—nerves, pride, and pure joy. One Year 6 student shared, “Sometimes it’s scary… but then after a bit, you feel like no one’s watching you and you’re just in your own world.”
Another student, who auditioned for Cleopatra, hasn’t received a role yet but remains optimistic. “It feels exciting… kind of thrilling… I’m probably just looking forward to working with other people and getting to know my role.”
Meanwhile, students are already dreaming of their potential roles. “I want to audition for the narrator,” said one year 6 student. “I really want to audition for the devil,” added another. Both agreed the best part has been “trying out new stuff” and pushing themselves outside their comfort zones.
With such enthusiasm and talent on display, the upcoming school play promises to be an exciting showcase of creativity, collaboration, and courage.
