Pi Day at IESN

At IESN, learning goes beyond the classroom. Last week, we celebrated Pi Day with an exciting day of maths-themed activities, problem-solving, and of course, pie — giving students a fun and memorable way to engage with mathematics.

Last week, IESN celebrated Pi Day in style, and it was a fantastic day filled with maths, movement, and of course, pie.

For those unfamiliar, Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3.14) in honour of the mathematical constant pi. At IESN, our Math team put together a fun and engaging day for students to enjoy, bringing maths to life through a variety of creative activities.

Throughout the day, students took part in puzzles and clue-based challenges, giving them the chance to use their problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive way. The celebration also included a 3.14 km run, adding an energetic twist to the day and giving students another memorable way to connect with the theme.

And of course, no Pi Day celebration would be complete without some actual pie. To top it all off, students were treated to chicken pot pie and apple pie for dessert, thanks to our amazing kitchen staff, who helped make the day even more special.

A big thank you goes to our Math team for organizing such a thoughtful and enjoyable event, and to our kitchen staff for the delicious food. Pi Day at IESN was a great example of how learning can be both meaningful and fun.
