CEO of I.E.S visits Norrtälje

On August 28th, 2025 I.E.S.N welcomed a visit from the CEO of all I.E.S. Mr.Lars Jonsson.

On August 28th, IES Norrtälje had the honour of welcoming Lars Jonsson, CEO of Internationella Engelska Skolan, along with the Chair of Friskolornas Riksförbund.

The visit was a success, with our guests experiencing the learning environment that has quickly become the hallmark of our new school.

During their tour, Mr. Jonsson and the Chair visited a range of classes, where students demonstrated active learning, curiosity, and creativity. From balloon experiments in Science to thought-provoking discussions in the classroom, every stop highlighted the dedication of both staff and students.

A special moment of the day came from our Student Union representatives, who delivered a presentation about school life at IES Norrtälje. Guided by Ms. Åkerblom, their message was clear:

“Students love this school because the staff are so positive and genuinely enjoy being with their students.”

As our CEO reflected, this kind of praise is among the greatest compliments a school community can receive.

Adding to the occasion, our PTA Liaison, Ms. Magnusson, shared heartfelt words from parents, which left the visitors deeply impressed with the strong sense of collaboration between families and staff.

The Chair of Friskolornas Riksförbund expressed admiration, stating in Swedish that “han hade aldrig sett någonting liknande” — “he had never seen anything like it.” CEO Lars Jonsson concluded by saying how proud he was of what has been achieved at IES Norrtälje in such a short time.

The visit was a great celebration of the hard work, professionalism, and positive spirit of our entire school community. We thank our staff, students, and parents for making the day such a success.
