During the school year we will offer a series of after school seminars for parents, targetted at helping them to support their children when practising and learning maths. Parents sometimes express concern that they might teach the wrong method, or are unsure of what resouorces are available to support their child at home, and we hope that these seminars will help to answer some of their questions.

During the seminars we will talk about:

• the structure of the maths curriculum
• mathemeatical mindset
• some of the methods that we teach in year 4 and 5
• resources and activities that parents can use at home to help with maths.
