Shakespeare in the Park

It has become a bit of tradition at IESN at the beginning of the school year to take the Yr 9 students who have entered to sit the IGCSE exams to see a live performance of a Shakespeare play.
This year it was Much Ado About Nothing and we had 33 students and 2 English teachers in attendance. What makes the venue at Stockholm University particularly unique is that it is performed outdoors with actors and audience alike being exposed to the elements.
Luckily they provided ponchos so we were saved from being completely drenched. Overall, this trip provides an excellent opportunity for students to experience Shakespeare in its purest form and it exposes them to high-level language which is good preparation for their forthcoming English as a 1st Language exam.
