Maths

Maths at IES Nacka create problem solvers for the future. Our mission is for students to leave us at the end of year 9 with the power of logical thinking and problem solving skills that will enable them to lead productive and successful lives.

We deliver Maths in a number of different ways, working in textbooks, worksheets, computer programs, games and more. Investigations and programming skills are also part of the subject, as well as small groups for the upper years, to best meet the needs of students and ensure all leave the school with the best possible results. We also offer extension courses for those brave enough to embrace the challenge and push themselves to their full potential.

Through discussion in groups, working together on projects or individual practice, students leave IES Nacka with the skills needed to succeed. Students are encouraged to be inquisitive, creative, and to develop their ability to learn both independently and in collaboration with others.
