Crafts (Textiles & Woodcraft)
At IES Nacka our craft department is where creativity comes to life, providing students with a vibrant space to explore, innovate, and express themselves. Guided by the principles of LGR 22, our curriculum is designed to foster a holistic learning experience that goes beyond the classroom.
Inspired by Chapter 1 of LGR 22, we believe in the power of knowledge, values, and personal development. Our craft classes are more than just making things; they're about developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of self. We encourage students to embrace challenges, learn from their mistakes, and find joy in the creative process. Here, they'll learn to express their inner world and communicate their unique perspectives through various artistic mediums.
In line with Chapter 2, we prioritize a supportive and inclusive environment. Our department is a place where students from diverse backgrounds can come together, collaborate, and learn from one another. We focus on building a strong community where every student feels valued and respected. By working together on projects, they'll not only hone their craft skills but also develop empathy, cooperation, and a deeper appreciation for different cultures and traditions. Our Projects
In year 4 and 5 you get to work with both wood and textiles materials and create different projects. For example:
