At our school, learning and curiosity are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to help each student develop both academically and personally in a safe and stimulating environment. With dedicated teachers, strong collegial collaboration, and a clear focus on quality teaching, we create the conditions for all students to reach their full potential.
Our teaching combines high expectations with individual support, and we continuously work to make learning meaningful, relevant, and motivating. Here, students gain the tools to grow, think critically, and prepare for future studies and challenges – both in Sweden and internationally.
By combining high expectations with strong support, our students achieve good results, both in national tests and in daily schoolwork. For us, success is not just about grades—we also value personal progress, perseverance, and the ability to take responsibility for one's learning.
There is a very strong correlation between our students' final grades and their results on national tests. This shows that our assessments are consistent, fair, and clear. This is important because it ensures that grades reflect students' actual knowledge and skills, providing a secure foundation for high school choices and further studies.
Our students achieve very good academic results, which is reflected in both their merit value (GPA) and their eligibility for high school. For the 2024/25 school year, grade 9 had an average merit value of 257.2, and 98.1% of students achieved high school eligibility. These results show that our students are well-prepared for further studies and that our systematic teaching and follow-up provide a solid foundation for every student to reach their full potential.
Curriculum & Subjects
We follow the Swedish national curriculum (Lgr22) and offer all mandatory subjects, while also placing a special emphasis on language development and international understanding. By using CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), students can study subjects in both Swedish and English, which strengthens both their knowledge and language skills.
Swedish, social studies, and some practical subjects are taught in Swedish. In mathematics, the language of instruction is primarily English, but textbooks, materials, and assessments are in Swedish. Students also encounter science and practical subjects in both languages, which contributes to a broader knowledge base and a natural bilingual development.
The school has subject departments led by a subject coordinator. Through close collaboration within the staff, we ensure high-quality planning and implementation of teaching in all subjects, creating a clear common thread in instruction. We strive to balance theoretical knowledge with practical skills so that students are well-prepared for high school and further studies.
Teaching & Pedagogy
At our school, learning is at the center of everything we do. We offer a safe and stimulating environment where teaching combines high academic expectations with individualized learning. Our teachers actively create engaging lessons that spark curiosity and train students in both critical thinking and creativity.
We work to develop CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) in our teaching. This means students encounter subject content in both Swedish and English, and language development happens in parallel with subject knowledge. Through this method, we strengthen students' language abilities while creating a deeper understanding of the subject.
Assessment & Feedback
We view assessment as a natural part of the learning process. Our teachers work formatively, which means students receive continuous feedback on their work and clear goals to strive for. Through regular check-ins and dialogue with both students and guardians, we ensure that every student understands their strengths and knows what needs to be developed. Assessment is always conducted in accordance with national knowledge requirements.
Special Support & Adaptations
All students have the right to succeed in school. We therefore actively work to identify and meet various needs early on. The school has two special education teachers who, together with teachers and guardians, create accommodations and support measures to give every student the best possible conditions to achieve their goals.
We believe in providing support in the classroom whenever possible. Therefore, resources are often integrated into teaching, for example, through having two teachers in several lessons per week (co-teaching). We always work in half-sized classes for art, music, crafts, home economics, and science labs, which allows students to work in a more focused way and receive individualized feedback.
For students with more extensive needs, we also offer a Studio, a place where students can receive extra support and practice skills in a calm and focused environment. Read more about the Studio here.
We see differences as a strength in our collective learning and always strive for every student to feel safe and included.
